| Pertaining to the Theme (1 sub-board)
Here you will find the story of the board and updates on the season. setting etc. should it ever change. We will also post any plots that might occur in this area. Staff will at times put together what is known as an event thread that can affect all characters on the board even ones that do not participate in the thread the event takes part in. So make sure to look here often. Summaries will be given of what has occurred in an event thread and what the expected outcome(s) should/would be.

| Pending Approval
When you create a character profile it must go here. Do not place characters anywhere else but here. You must wait for two staff members to approve your character before you can play.
You have a week to fix anything a staff member asks you to modify unless you have previous engagements that prevent you from doing so. If you do not fix it within the allotted time the character will be deleted.
If you play with the character before approval it will be deleted and you will be suspended. Also please follow our template for profiles. It makes it easier to read and more visually attractive.

| Approved/ Active Characters (4 sub-boards)
Here are the profiles of all the characters accepted onto the board. They are moved here by staff. Do not start a thread here if you are not staff.
They are separated by their status at the asylum i.e. doctor, patient etc.
If you do not see your character here it means it has gone pass the inactivity limit.

| Unapproved/ Inactive Characters
If you create a profile in pending approval that remains pass the period of time given to complete it, the profile will be moved here. It will also be moved here if you character is rejected more than once and you make no attempts to fix it.
Characters that become inactive for more than two weeks without the player putting up a reason for absence get moved here as well.
In case you decide you want to put a character on hiatus (say they go into a coma) their profile will be moved here so you may use him/her later. Characters that die in a thread do not go here. Their profile will go into the obituary.

| Journals
A fun little place for players to post as if they are their characters' writing journals entries. Whatever is said in the journal remains the private thoughts of the character even though we can all read it. So keep in mind though we the player know what is said in journals, we the characters would not know.

| Obituaries
Well sometimes a character becomes a nuisance and meets the end of his/her rope. Here they may rest in peace. You can post an obituary here for you character in the point of view of anyone that knew him or her. Makes the whole death fun.
The profiles of dead characters will also be moved here when that times comes.

| Main Facility[d:This is the oldest building on the Raven's Song Compound. Once the Salem Penitentiary it was converted into the dorms of the patients and main treatment halls. There is also a lab in the basement that performs animal testing in hopes of cr |
| Recreation Sector
This section of the building is where patients are allowed to have free time. They can go to the viewing room and watch DVDs provided by staff, normally G rated movies, or do anything from arts and crafts to swimming while a life guard is on duty on duty in the basement level pool.
Patients earn their time in this section with good behavior but are kept on constant vigil when they are here. At times the staff watching them might get lazy so patients are known to disappear here.

| Patient Dormitory Sector (6 sub-boards)
Though part of the main building this section has more levels than the other sectors. Long hallways divide it from the counseling sector. Often its called Crazy hall.
Patients are placed into dormitories based on their mental health issue. It would not be safe to put one person with anger issues in a room with another person with victim syndrome.
Each room is set up almost like the prison cell it used to be. Small twins beds along each side but where the toilet used to be now sits a desk. Bathrooms are at the end of each hall and shared.

| Counseling Sector (3 sub-boards)
This is where therapy sessions are held. There is also an off-limits large scale lab here. Only authorized doctors are allowed into the lab. Patients must be accompanied by doctors and orderlies for their therapy sessions. Patients are required to attend group therapy at least once a month and private sessions at least once every two weeks.

| Courtyard
Patients are allowed to come outside to bask in sunlight sometimes. Its supposed to be good for their health. Being that the asylum is set in an isolated area gates have to be put up to make escapes less possible. The hospital is surrounded by dense forest after all so if a patient did wander from the courtyard no one would really notice.

| Physical Ailment Building[d:This area is like a separate hospital for medicine though connected to the main facility by a bridge on the third level. While the other buildings are made to treat the mind this is to treat the body. There is also a floor used |
| L4 - Rehabilitation Ward
Somehow sometimes the patients and doctors alike can get addicted to drugs. No one knows how they get them but they do and so here they are taking to push off that high and get clean, no matter what.

| L3 - Trauma Ward
Critical injuries are taken care of here. Any surgeries that must be performed are also done on this level of the hospital. Patients are then taken to the recovery room.

| L2 - Generalized Ward
This area treats patients with minor to slightly serious injuries. Patients here don't usually stay over night. If their cases are serious they are moved to the trauma ward one floor above.

| L1 - Burn Ward
This floor treats and maintains patients who have suffered any type degree burn. The halls smell of burning flesh and have a cold feeling to them. Most people complain about their being an oppressive air on this floor.

| Ground Level
Here sits the receptionist to give information on patients to authorized personal only. There is a security office to the right and a small cafeteria. There are two waiting rooms, the only ones the wing has. No other floors have waiting rooms.

| LB - Solitary Confinement
This is where the patients that have done very bad and need a bit of time-out are kept. The walls within the rooms are padded to try and ensure the patient will not hurt him or herself.

| Doctor/ Nurse Dormitory Building[d:This area holds the doctors and nurses' dormitories and a separate library for certified staff use only. Their laundry is also done separately from the patients by general staff./d] |
| Third Level
The doctors with higher certification and specializations stay in these rooms. They are given the extra privilege of having their own shower in their rooms and their own small office. There are three rooms just like on the first floor and a small storage room to the end that seems to be unused.

| Second Level
Each floor of the dormitory building holds three separate apartments for tenants. Usually tenants prefer to room alone. Bathrooms are not included in the room but there is one at the end of the hall that the tenants share, with only one mass shower and two toilet stalls.

| First Level
This floor houses a comfortable study, kitchen and laundry room for tenant usage only. There is general staff that does the laundry at times for doctors but for the most part doctors depend on themselves.

| Sub-level
This is a furnished basement modelled up into a small storage area for file documentation and doctor research. There are separate video watching rooms for doctors to view recorded sessions. The rooms are sound proof so no one may disturb the doctors.

| Staff Dormitory Building[d:This area is six blocks away from the asylum and houses the staff that works cleaning, protecting, providing meals and sedating patients. They are on call twenty four seven though do operate by two separate shifts with janitors |
| Second Level
This floor has six apartments fully stocked with furniture. There are two bedrooms, one bath, one kitchen and a living room. Room mates are assigned unless tenant refers name for a room mate.

| First Level
This floor has eight apartments each with a fire escape facing out. The apartments come fully stocked with furniture, a bathroom, bedroom/living room combo and small kitchen. It's like a studio apartment.

| Ground Level
Here is the elevator leading up to the rest of the floors as well as the mailboxes of the tenants. There are only two apartments here. There is a security desk to make certain only authorized personnel is entering the building.

| Sub-level
Here is the boiler room, laundry room and the storage room all janitors are expected to leave their cleaning equipment. Laundry is done by the owner of the items, no one does your laundry for you in this area.
